Israel and Iran, both nations should think about global peace and avoid making their conflict worse. According to the United State’s Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, the situation in the Middle East is not good these days. For this reason, it is important for both nations to not make the situation worsen by conflicting with each other.
Blinken also highlighted the United States working hard with its allies through diplomacy to prevent both nations. The US also announced that both nations to not increase the conflict that brings violence rather than peace.
The murder of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh also makes the situation very tense. After this murder, Iran said to Israel that now the response would be severe. This is because many claimed that Israel was responsible for the killing of the Hamas leader.
US President Joe Biden seems unhappy with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Biden is particularly frustrated because this assassination happened when he was trying to make progress towards a ceasefire in the Gaza conflict, which has been going on for 10 months. The situation is very delicate, and it’s important for all sides to act carefully to avoid making things worse.
Blinken also said, “ Our commitment to Israel’s security is ironclad. We will continue to defend Israel against attacks from terrorist groups or their sponsors, just as we’ll continue to defend our troops.”
He further added, “ But everyone in the region should understand that further attacks only perpetuate conflict, instability, and insecurity for everyone.”
Recently the meeting was held between Blinken and Australian foreign and defense ministers at the US Naval Academy. During the meeting, the US Secretary of State focused on the commitment that the US has made. This nation tries its best to reduce the tension and prevent further conflict in the Middle East.
On the morning of this day, the US Secretary of State had a meeting on the phone with Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi. Jordan, which has a significant Palestinian population and a peace treaty with Israel, has previously been crucial in helping the US counter threats from Iran, including missile and drone attacks in April that could have caused more damage in Israel.
Safadi also discusses Jordan’s position in the conflict by discussing his recent visit to Tehran.
However, Blinken chose not to comment directly on whether Jordan would again support action against an Iranian attack. Instead, he stressed that the US and its partners are focused on ending the conflict.
The key message of Bliken’s seems like he wants peace across the world. According to him any further attack in the region could have very severe consequences. He also urged that every party should carefully take any action and make decisions. They should promote peace and reduce tension across the world, especially in the Middle East
The situation in the Middle East is getting complicated due to the recent incidents. On Monday, it was reported that pro-Iranian Shiite fighters wounded seven US personnel during a rocket attack on a base in western Iraq. This type of immoral behaviour is not acceptable. Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin also said that it is impossible for the United State to bear such type of attacks on its region.
The Biden administration is also focused on the ceasefire plan in Gaza. Along with this plan, the administration also increased its military presence in the Middle East. The ceasefire is the only option that makes the situation better and prevents further escalation.
However, tensions remain high with Hamas announcing Yahya Sinwar, believed to be a key figure behind the October 7 attack on Gaza, as their new political leader after the death of Haniyeh.
While some might see Sinwar’s appointment as a provocative move, Secretary of State Antony Blinken seemed to downplay its impact, noting that Sinwar has always been a significant decision-maker. Blinken’s view suggests that Sinwar now has the responsibility to decide whether to pursue a ceasefire, which could greatly benefit many Palestinians who are in desperate need.
The United States also committed to Israel to defend the nation. For this purpose, the US sent fighter jets to the Middle Eastern. These jets will not stay here permanently. Only stay until the arrival of new fighter jets. The duration of their stay depends upon the upcoming situation of the region.
