Recently, Emmanuel Macron made an announcement about the new government of France. Michel Barnier’s government failed to solve the French budget crisis. By following a no-confidence vote his service period as France’s Prime Minister was very short. His removal highlights ‌political and economic tensions in France.

The new Prime Minister must form a team including former conservative government members. Some new figures should also be ‌members of the team from centrist and left-leaning groups. People from different parties ease France’s division problem and bring stability.

Creating a 2025 budget is one of the main tasks for the new government. France is under immense pressure from the financial market to limit its growing debt and regain investor trust. Furthermore, the political deadlock has worsened the situation more. To get things under control it is important to take quick actions.

For moving forward, the first action that the government should take is to reduce debt and save social welfare. Addressing financial complexities and recognizing common ground for different political parties will be the path toward success.

French political instability continues as President Emmanuel Macron is making efforts to rule without any majority in Parliament after June’s snap election. He has plans to remain in power until 2027 but his power has weakened due to uncertainty in the political landscape of France. The new government that was formed just ten days ago is trying to satisfy all opponents to bring stability.  Due to disagreements on the budget, Michel Barnier failed to maintain his power and was removed by the following no-confidence vote.

Due to all of these reasons, France has not had any stable leadership. The key figure behind ‌Barnier’s removal was Marine Le Pen. She collaborated with left-wing parties to pass the no-confidence motion. Her strategies highlight ‌Marine Le Pen’s growing influence in French politics. Now there are many tough challenges for Bayrou in the future. To remain in power he must need support from both left and right-wing parties. However, in the severe political division of France, it is a difficult task to form a stable and efficient government.

The selection of financier Eric Lombard as France’s new finance minister comes at an essential moment. To keep up with European Union rules and regulations, France seeks to reduce its current account deficit, which will probably reach 6% of the Economy this year. Having worked as an advisor to a Socialist minister of finances in the 1990s, Lombard has little expertise in this area. A major political figure, François Bayrou, supported increases in taxes from the previous government. Yet, the new government has the opportunity to come up with a budget plan that meets MPs and European Union requirements. Developing a solution that works for everyone becomes difficult because many lawmakers are furious about the necessary expenditure cuts.

It will be Lombard’s duty to oversee these complex issues while also making sure France can maintain its financial resources without upsetting major groups in politics.

The latest governmental changes in France illustrate an agreement between new leadership and continuity. Bruno Retailleau, with strong right-wing opinions, remains in his position as interior minister and focuses on migration and security. It also means that France is going to keep taking a strong stand on these issues. Retaining his title as defense minister, Sebastien Lecornu supports France’s commitment to Ukraine. The fact that Jean-Noel Barrot remains in office as foreign minister indicates that France will keep on playing an active role in international events, especially in the Middle East.

Former prime ministers are among the new hires. A greater emphasis on international relations may result from Manuel Valls’ appointment as minister of overseas affairs. Perhaps a sign of new educational reforms, Elisabeth Borne assumes leadership of the education ministry. These adjustments demonstrate how France’s leadership is staying true to its goals while allowing seasoned individuals to take on new tasks. All things considered, the reorganization combines demonstrated leadership with the possibility of new regulations to meet pressing demands.
