Due to poor immigration policies, France has struggled with economic division for many years. In this division, the most affected people are the Muslim communities. France is also failing to properly integrate and assimilate these new arrivals. It also has had a major effect on the lives of people living in France.

France also has a strong cultural presence. A clear example of this is that over 20% of newborns in France now have Arabic-Muslim names. It is also interesting to know that the majority of the Muslims in France want the country to become a Muslim state. And most of the Youngsters, approximately 50% have this desire. This clearly highlights that nowadays France is suffering with the community division problems.

Furthermore, the October 7 incident has fueled the situation more. The supporters of far-left groups such as Islamist activists have used the Palestinians issue to unite Muslim communities and others who feel left out by globalization. This resulted in the liberal clash against liberal democratic values and also  Judeo-Christian traditions in Europe.

France is becoming deeply divided. Many French citizens, especially on the far-Right said that immigrants are responsible for the economic and cultural instability. This also worsened the societal division. And the recent parliament election clearly expressed it. The results explore the realitis. 35% of the seats won by the far Left. At the same time, far-Rights gained at 26%. Furthermore, President Macron only got 31% seats.

Together, the far Right and far Left, which includes some Islamist groups, now control 70% of the vote and 60% of the seats in parliament. This situation has created two distinct groups in France, people who don’t understand or interact with each other and are increasingly in conflict. These opposing sides pose a serious threat to the country’s democratic values, as both extremes are gaining more power and influence in French politics.

Complex situation in France

The tensions among different groups are increasing day by day. Due to this France is facing major challenges. France has 2 options to deal with the problem of a diverse population. On one hand, either by strict control, like in empires, or by bringing everyone together in a republic. Also many French citizens are worried about the religion of Islam in Europe. They are not sure about their culture and economy due to the complex political situation in France

This approach focuses on strong central control to keep groups from clashing. France’s situation now is similar to Lebanon’s past, where different groups once lived together in harmony, but later fell into a terrible civil war. This is a warning for France about the dangers of not managing these divisions well.

For Jews and Israel the post-election outlook is very concerning. Macron really wants to block the far-Right, even if it means aligning with the far-left. This effort of Macron highlights the complex political environment of France.

A possible coalition between Macron’s centrists and the far-left group, La France Insoumise, could have serious consequences. This partnership might push a strong pro-Palestinian agenda, seek recognition of a Palestinian state, accuse Israel of war crimes, and introduce anti-Israeli actions. One such action could be boycotting Israel at the Eurosatory exhibition, which would mark a significant victory for the BDS movement in the West.

This situation greatly impacted the Jewsish community in France and left them more isolated. Macron never wanted to leave the chair, focused on staying in power. This effort of Macron could put the security and dignity of French Jews at risk.

This alliance would have big economic complexities. France became unstable due to high spendings and rising debts. Political disagreements and growing unrest could lead the country into chaos, similar to what happened in Lebanon.

Jews community becomes more vulnerable with all of these tensions. They are caught in the middle of these societal struggles.

France now faces a critical choice: it must either defend its core values or risk falling into division and disorder. Macron’s warnings about the possibility of civil conflict emphasize just how serious this situation has become.
